GOYA Friday - Chinatown

On Sunday I was in Chinatown again to attend a seminar hosted by the Fraser Gallery entitled "Success as an Artist", and I figured while I was there, I could use the opportunity to make some more Holga photos of that general part of DC. I just love the textures that I find down there, and have a few rolls from that adventure. One of those is not yet developed, so I'll have to wait to see what else I have when I have a chance to process it.

The seminar was quite good, by the way, so if any of you are thinking about attending in the future, I'd highly recommend it. I saw quite a few ArtDC.org people there like Alexandra Silverthorne, Matt Achhammer, and Angela Kleis, so that was cool too.

GOYA Friday - Aliyah

The other day, I was out in the yard watching the neighbor kids play. Well, the youngest of these is Aliyah, who is just growing so fast. It seems like yesterday that she was born. Now she has teeth, is trying to talk, and is running and trying to keep up with her older brother and sister! And she's only 1. This is a close up of Aliyah just after she ate a cracker (hence the crumbs on her chin). Such a cutie, I thought that she would be a good substitute for my Holga work for this week's GOYA.

About Me

My photo
I am a sculptor, photographer, and mixed media artist based in the Washington, DC metro area. I sculpt with steel and glass, and enjoy people and holga / alternative processes photography best, although I experiment with many different subjects and media where I find them.
