Unbridaled Wedding Expo - The Details

On Saturday I spent the day in Philadelphia at the Unbridaled Wedding Expo, THE source for brides looking for those vendors, services, and other details that are a bit out of the ordinary. Vendors included green establishments or services, vegan food & cakes, handmade dresses and other clothing, and offbeat ideas to make your party unlike any other! There is a common misconception that you have to throw all tradition out the window to be interested in this sort of event, but after experiencing it for myself I found the beauty of this show was that it catered to anyone wishing to make their wedding day their own and less cookie-cutter.

To help illustrate this, I took my little point & shoot camera around to many of the tables and to capture the overall scene itself. A collage of some of those photos is above - click on it to see it larger! Walking into this expo, you know instantly that it is different from all the other wedding shows out there. For starters, the lighting and music were off the hook! The place looked and sounded fabulous, with lighting and music provided by the vendors at the show.

An overall of the main room with the stage for the fashion show can be seen below. Notice the awesome funky lighting - it kept changing color as the event went on. Just gorgeous, and a definite departure from any bridal show I've ever been to:

A look at my setup there - I was advertising my Holga weddings, and had the contact prints, as well as wall size panels hanging to give prospective clients an idea of what I do. I love how the lights peek through the panels!

And a close up detail of my panels:

And this is Isis of Posh Events talking with some potential clients at her booth. I knew of Isis through several other wedding planners in the DC Metro area as well as the wonderful Jen Capone of Jen Capone Photography up in Philly. I finally got to meet her in person as we were only a couple of booths apart, and she was incredibly friendly!

Some of the vendors whose wares are featured in the collage image above are:
As One Bridal
Earth Bridal at Earth Mart
North Bowl
Cami's Paperie
The Little Things
Liz Kinder Ceramics

For a complete list of the vendors that displayed their wares at Unbridaled, visit their web site HERE. There are some really unique and talented vendors among those listed, so check them out!
